Lovely, but relatively short lived
We bought this for my son last Christmas and it has been great, but it is now beginning to fade and the bulb is non-replaceable so I find myself searching for a new nightlight.

More night light than toy
My son loves this light on when he goes to bed. It's not very bright as a night light which I think is ideal for that purpose. Just gives him a reassuring glow to let him go off to sleep on his own.

I was slightly disappointed that as a night light it was not very bright. Nothing like the picture on the box! However my 2 year old thinks its great, so it serves its purpose in that respect.

Falk Baby Case Tractr & Trailer.
I'm pleased to say this ride on toy is very sturdy, and is a value for money toy. My eighteen months old G Grandson has had a lot of fun on it since Christmas.

Fun for little farmers
My son is decidedly fixated on tractors, although as far as he in concerned this also includes all things JCB a well. He was ill recently and so to cheer him up we decided to treat him to a'tractor'. We found one in a high street store but after only three days at home and numerous fixes quite literally the wheel fell off and we had a heart broken little boy. So we turned to Amazon and the Falk tractor and trailer. He has been thrilled with it, ridden it loads, asks for it first thing in the morning and all his friends (boys and girls) love it too. We recently visited farm which had a variety of toy tractors for him to play with and he still went back to this one. It is a sturdy ride on, very simple for parent assembly, and lots and lots of fun.

Terrific tractor!

I bought this toy for my son's first birthday based on the previous review. I just wanted to say I couldn't agree more with the gentleman's comments. This is a really sturdy toy and ideal for little people as it doesn't tip over easily. My son likes to use it like a walker at the moment (his feet don't quite touch the floor on it yet so he can't get around while sat on it without assistance) and really enjoys pushing it about and beeping the horn. Alternatively mum or dad can push him around which absolutely delights him. I am really pleased I purchased it and believe it is fantastic value for money. The only con is that you need quite a bit of space available for manouevre, especially if you are using the trailer as well. All in all a fantastic toy.

Good fun tractor
I bought this for my grandson in June this year. He is a big boy and fitted on to this tractor straight away. It provides him with lots of fun and he associates it with a real Ford tractor. I think that this association is important. I will be buying more branded type lorries and tractors as time goes on. Simple types first more complex ones later on. Honest, they are for him.
This tractor is very simple to assemble. A sturdy toy, which I feel will be passed on once he has outgrown it. Amazon pricing was unbeatable as was their delivery.

Great for baby and great for parents who need little breaks!
My baby, nearly 7 months, loves it!
He loves sitting but can't quite stay sat on his own, and this really gives him the freedom of sitting and play without us, parents, fearing he is going to fall backwards and hit his head. He loves all the touchy feely things around.
I got it second hand and the only little annoying thing about it is that I had to tape the valve on the rubber ring as it would not stay shut once blown, but this could be due to his heavy use!
I don't have the gym above but I sometimes put my own activity arch which my baby loves as he can play with the dangling thing being sat rather than lying down underneath!(change of angle!!)
He loves it so much, he gives me a 20 min break by just playing in it on his own! so... priceless really!!

Very Good
Brought this for my son when he was a baby. He is now 6 and I have given the playnest away but it is a very good baby aid. He was able to sit and play with ease. He would not slump doen and loved looking at the different activites. He would even fall asleep in it. Once he got older he would crawl in and out the ring and play with the different activities.

Loved this multitasking ring
This was invaluable for my daughter!! I've read mixed reviews but my daughter loved this nest as did I. She was an early sitter and has very strong legs and I wonder if its from all the leg stretching & kicking of the ring that helped her. We had 2 - the gym one did fall apart lots (they need to develop the frame somewhat as parts didn't stay together well) so just used both as rings rather than gym. Great safe place to play, rest & kick. Used if half inflated to keep her head off hard floor when she was wee & once she was stronger & was beginning to sit I inflated it fully. She loved to kick & stretch her legs against the ring. It's big but very light so really easy to put in boot/backseat of car when visiting. Sadly she outgrew it too quickly but I've passed it on to very happy friend.

Fantastic

I bought this toy yesterday for my 1 year old son for Christmas however as he was up last night and not feeling very well I decided to let him play with it. He absolutely loves it and this morning when my 3 year old son came downstairs he fell in love with it too. 4 hours on and he still hasn't got bored. This toy is very chunky and well made and looks as if it will last and last. A great and safe toy for young children and a fun adn interesting one for older children too.

Our 1-year old daughter absolutely loves this toy - I would highly recommend it and I think if she could talk she would too!! 'Hop onboard the animal train, come on everyone, learning about animals, it's really LOTS OF FUN!!!' hahaha - this song is so contageous - I just want to sing it the whole time. 'Animals big, animals small .... ' etc etc :---)))

Excellent play activity combo
We bought this for our 2 children age 1 and 2, They love it and have played with it inside and out. It is easy to put down and easy to put up and stays the same shape. The material is robust and easy to wipe things off. The best thing about this is the tunnel attaches to the tent so it doesn't matter how rough they use it, it all stays intact. My children also love the windows which one opens as a flap door.

Brilliant Present for my Niece!
I bought this for my (then) 12-month old niece, thinking that she would be too young to use it. Not at all! She was absolutely hooked, could not get enough and was walking before many of the kids older than her. My sister-in-law told me that lots of her little friends at Nursery were suddenly bought the same V-Tech Walker when they saw my niece walking!

My niece is now nearly 3 and yet she still loves her walker - she uses it to pretend that it's a pram and she dances around to the music. It's really quite a clever little thing, because it teaches numbers, letters and it has all these tunes. She learnt very quikcly how to get the sounds that she wanted to hear. She now has two little brothers and they're already enjoying the music, which she plays for them.

I was a bit dubious about this but it's really a terrific little thing that will last you a lot longer than a lot of other things you buy for your kids!

Perfect for a baby just learning to walk
The First Steps Baby Walker was absolutely perfect for my granddaughter who loved all aspects of this toy including the activity centre. When we stood Lucy behind the walker she immediately grasped the handle and tottered across the room. A gem and an ideal gift for a child at this stage of development.
However a word of caution - I found the plastic bag in which the item was despatched by Amazon totally inadequate. The box containing the walker was badly damaged and it was a miracle that the goods actually worked!

BRILLIANT, BUY IT!
Fabulous product. My little boy loved this when I first bought it for him at 6 months old, the detachable fascia is really good for playing with on the floor. He is now 11 months and runs around at break neck speed, he loves the noises and the phone especially. The wheels are quite fast and he took a while to get used to them and their speed but now loves running around the house with it at 100 mph.

Charlie and Lola dolls- great!
Got these for my daughter for christmas and they look great. I had been warned they were small but they were not as small as I had thought.
Great size for my 2 year old to handle.

I have had a play for myself, and though they do not say much I am sure that my daughter is going to love them.

These toys are a hit!
I bought these dolls/toys for my son who is now 20 mths and absolutely loves watching Charlie and Lola. (He has loved them since he figured out the TV had moving pictures). These dolls are durable, as they have withstood a 20 mth old pulling and dragging them everywhere. My one complaint is that they only say one phrase each: Charlie says "I have this little sister Lola, she is small and very funny" and Lola says "I'm not small I am big". It would be nice if some more phrases where added, but since I am not a toddler, it doesn't really matter. I didn't buy them for eduacational reasons, i bought them because i knew he would love to just play with them. Thankfully my instinct was right, my son loves them, they go everywhere with us and when its time for his tv hour, he gets his Charlie and Lola dolls and they watch too.

If your child is a fan, then these would make a great gift for Christmas or a Birthday, as they are priced right and are well made.

Brilliant, the kids loved it!
Bought this as a present for my cousin's son's christening back at the beginning of the year. An immediate hit with not only the 1 year old being christened but also with his 3 year old sister and cousin, in fact it was a hit with the adults too!
There haven't been any problems with it, and the legs stayed once you put them on it unlike on some of the others that my friends have for their children. All in all good value with the amount of things for the kids to do and for how long it will appeal to them as well as the sturdyness in comparision to other makes.

Excellent toy
My baby daughter received this for her 1st birthday last year and loves playing with it. When it went wrong after several months use we were able to post it (via a FREEPOST address) to Leapfrog who returned it to us serviced and fixed at no extra cost within a week!!!. Callalily(above) should contact Leapfrog direct as they are very helpful and actually know the meaning of customer service. Highly recommended product and company.

Breaks very easily after very little use
If you have a little one and are considering buying this item, don't!
It is very badly made, after only 3 weeks and being played with a handful of times my son's stopped working in english and would only speak french!
Amazon were no help so I asked my husband to look at it as he is qualified in electronics, it turned out that after so little use the switch that changes language was broken and need to be re-soldered.
So to sum up, great educational value but CRAP quality, don't waste your money!

Jump-a-round
My little boy took a while to get used to it but when he did he absolutely loved it. We even took it on holiday with us. It was great to pop him into it and know that he would be secure and entertained. The product is built to a high standard and the unit is very stable. It is also quite big and takes up a lot of room although it is partially collapsable.
The tunes are great for kids but very annoying for adults.

All in one though I would fully recommend this to anyone with a prewalking infant. Bouncy-bouncy-bouncy!!!!

Love Love Love it !!
I have just purchased this for my 9 month old daughter. She is having a great time jumping around in it and loves the fact that she can stand and move without me having to hold her all the time (which is a big plus point for my back too!!). So far it is well worth the money and I'm really pleased that we got it.

Marvellous toy!
My brother bought one of these for my nephew who is at the time of writing five and a half months old. The little one loves it and though he still gets exhausted quite quickly (he's not yet sitting) will play in it as long as he can. It's ideal for the child who can't yet sit or walk but is desperate to do so.

I have to say it causes a fair amount of entertainment for the adults as well especially when baby's playing in it! The action of the feet when he's bouncing is very funny.

Feel the Force
I am perplexed, having read the most idiotic negative comments made by one individual about this game. I feel that it would be wrong not to give a decent appraisal of a superb game.
There are no issues at all with game control, this game is very responsive to positive movements of the Wii controller. Blocking movements against opponents attacks work effortlessly. Stringing combination attacks against opponents works seamlessly too.
Beat a character and one will be unlocked for you to use later nice. I particularly like the opponents taunts against you, these spur you on to think about what you are doing in a duel. The opponents AI is very good, so if you think that you can bash a few buttons and then brag to your mates that the game is easy think again! I recommend this game it is great fun. Control issues indeed! Now the person that said that is speaking TOSH!

New improved version
I just got this toy in yesterday from my store, and though all the critical reviews of this thing i am very very impressed with this one. It has taken quite some time to hit the stores in denmark, and apparently it has paid of. Hasbro seems to have listened to all the people who have complained about the legs. I was really worried to get this one because of that, but when i got it home and put it together the legs didn't pop out even when my cat stands on this thing it easily stands up.

The old version may have problems but this new improved one is absolutly the jewel in my collection. Its only sad that you have to get into these price classes for hasbro to install sound and light, Kenner was better at doing these things to the small veichles

Lots of fun and indestructable too!
I originally bought my Mr Potato Head when Toy Story was first released 13 years ago, and its sat on my desk ever since (the peices get rearranged by just about everyone who sees it - including, I suspect, the cleaners!)

Now, I've taken it home so that my two year old can enjoy it - hows that for recycling?!

Its not very often that you find a toy that is educational, cheap and well made, but Mr Potato Head ticks all the boxes.

What did I used to do with it?
I am another person who remembered having lots of fun with this as a kid.
Bought one for my 4 year old who had a great time moving the pieces, putting arms for noses etc for about 3 days. Since then he has hardly touched it and I can't remember why I have such fond memories either.
Maybe, compared with current toys, its scope is a bit limited. I understand there are add-ons which would increase the permutations but, still, it seems a bit repetitive.

It's a classic, must-have!
Very robust, lots of chunky, sturdy colourful pieces, good for younger children to learn which bit goes where eg puting ears in the right holes on side of head! My 3 yr old enjoys it a lot and views it as a puzzle and carries on till every piece is inserted. Good classic first-buy potato and then you can buy the other kits later on to ring the changes on the accessories.

Perfect preparation for Christmas
My daughter loves Peppa Pig, so I was planning to get it her for Christmas. I gave in and she had it early. I'm glad I did now!!
The Christmas episode it fantastic! Peppa, George and their friends ask for ONE present each, and that is what they receive. Great in these times, and a perfect way to tell your child that you don't have a bad Christmas just because you only get one gift!

I really recommend this, a real joy to watch!

A few weeks ago our family was new to Peppa Pig so I really didn't know which DVD to start with.

I was going to buy the Complete Collection (just released) but I think 9 hours of any TV hit is a bit too much for my 2 year old at the moment (not to mention a 30 year old trying to sort through 9 discs in order to find the favorites!)

I bought Peppa's Christmas a few weeks ago as a run up to the Christmas season and it has been a HUGE HUGE hit. Suddenly watching ITNG has taken second place and I never thought I would see the day.
Peppa is an 'ordinary' little piggy and the series is sweet & refreshing. It's not overly basic so I can see my daughter adoring this lovable character for a few more years to come.

I'm going to buy one or two more Peppa DVD's, just for variety and in case this one wears itself out!
Definitely recommended

Great DVD for our PP collection.
This DVD has one slightly longer christmas episode which my kids love watching all year long and 10 other normal episodes.

It's just as good as all our other Peppa pig collections (muddy puddles, flying a kite) which my 4 year old son has enjoyed for a couple of years and his 18 month old sister has now discovered.

Money well spent!

We got this for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves it. It is very easy to play with as the whole top comes off. The accessories are good fun too. Much more playability than the push and go car or drive and steer car as the figures come out.

Only slight criticism is that the awning on the camper van keeps getting ripped off, but it is easy to put back in again!

Nice toy but not as good as could have been...
Just received the toy today for my son. He is 4 and loves peppa pig. They make it extremely difficult to get it out of the box... you will need a screw driver, scissors, and a lot of muscle lol. The caravan top comes off but the doors don't open or anything so it is just like a big plastic box that the top lifts off of. Daddy pig does not stand his body is too heavy for his legs and this frustrates my son a bit. It's a really cute idea and my son loves it and said he is happy about it. But you have to pop the seats out of the caravan to have seats for the picnic table, the shower is just a piece of plastic it does nothing really, the sun shade on top of the caravan rolls out and in which is cool but it gets stuck a lot and you have to re-adjust it. The good thing is all the extras fit into the back of the caravan so you can pack it away easy. The characters don't really sit in the seats very well either. I would like this toy more if it had cost less. I think it is a bit expensive for what it does.

good preparation for starting school
I got this for my four year old daughter who will start school in August. She is already role-playing using this and just loves it. The house and campervan sets are quite good too. She doesn't even mind that we now have multiple Peppa and family figures. She's just turned them into extended family. Didn't know Peppa had so many cousins!

We bought this playset for our six year old son for a bargain price of £12.99. It is definately worth the price. Anyone that says its flimsy has not put it together correctly.It took about 45 mins to put together and you must make sure you 'snap' all the struts into the slots tightly. If done right , you can easily pick the model up and move it around. The sounds and light effects are FAB. The only thing missing is a character to play with which is a shame.My son isn't one for playing with toys much but this has seen a few hours of fun already so i would definatley recommend but be prepared to read some instructions to assemble properly !!

A stage for the Doctor
Well, if you can avoid sending £40 on this toy - I got it for £10 as part of a multibuy - it's excellent value. Once assembled - and set aside an hour to do this - it's a far larger structure than you'd guess from the box. This is so different from most Dr Who toys which look better and more substantial in the box.

The toy is an excellent backdrop for kids to play with the various Dr Who characters. It's a bit like a stage. Paying heed to other reviewers, it's not particularly robust but sets the context for Dr Who-themed play. I'd recommend it and wouldn't mind one myself!!

Fantastic!
I've gotten the toy yesterday although it took my friend and myself almost 2 hours to put it up (which was fun in itself, ignoring the slight problems already mentioned here i.e. getting the pieces out of their wired cages ;-)) I still love it.

I loved its details (the inclusion of the hammer definitely got a fan-heart-PLUS from me :-)) and the sounds, light effects and the fact that the core of the TARDIS really moves. What really got me were the explanations in the instruction manual about the TARDIS panel - all the sounds and effects are put into context of the series and it informs you what every panel is about. That's great BG info!

Well thought out design!

Great Gift
It's really good how they manage to make him shut up into his little box, and at the push of a button he appears again.

Great Fun and Very Durable
I purchased this for my daughter's fifth birthday having been put off the interactive WALL-E which is very flimsy and I would highly recommend it to other parents thinking of buying it, the transforming controls are a little stiff the first couple of times but after a couple of hours my daughter was opening him up and putting him back to 'sleep' fairly easily.

Brilliant - recommended for everyone!!
Just brilliant. Another amazing game with the lovely Mario (plus Sonic and characters from both games!)

As with all the Mario games, this game is packed with millions of mini games and levels to unlock. Everytime you play it you want to beat the previous score which means you never put it down!! This game has entertained me for hours, trampolining, throwing the javelin...

The multiplayer version is good, although it has 8 events for you to choose from, it is a shame that you cant play more of the events that are on the single player verson (table tennis, etc)

But overall, an absolute must!! Well worth the money!!

Excellent
This was one of the first games I got for my DS and I wasn't at all disappointed. Excellent characters and great playability. The use of the touch screen, with the buttons and also bringing the microphone into play is mint and every event has different controls. The game is also great played via download, competing on the long jump when you're all clapping before the start, or rubbing the screen like a manic on the sprints really has us all in stitches!
Only one small critism is that it can get a bit repetitive when you're on trying to get gold for every character, but this is only after a lot of play an shouldn't put anyone off buying.
This game really highlights the capabilities of the DS.

As the menu comes up, you get to choose what olympic game you'd like to play eg- Fencing, Running, Long Jump and many more. Firstly, it'll tell you how to play and them and you simply play them. You get to pick the character you want and each one will have a different amount of eg- Strength.
Overall it is a very good game and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the other Mario games.

Something so simple!
I have got 2 of these for my 2year old, one at grandma's and one at mine.

Such a good idea. No other mess. The pens fill with water. My daughter first got hers aged 1... and no, that wasn't too early! She has loved it ever since.

They aren't perfect,but what is? the mats are susceptible to dirt, as are the pens. I read a couple of review from mums who didn't like them as their children threw juice over them or got the pens dirty, but seriously, keep other liquids away from your children whilst they are being played with, and the pens away when they aren't being used, and whats the problem?

These are with no doubt one of the best toys my daughter has ever had and I already have one in my basket as a Christmas present for another child.

oh... and because they fold up, they are great to take away with you too, great for trains, they cover the whole table! You can even get a travel one which is good for cars.

Drawing without the walls
we have found this item very useful for our 14 month old daughter, but we only bought it at Xmas and already the colours arent as strong as they used to be, it has now become very patchy, and I am not very pleased.
Will be looking to seek a replacement.

Bright, fun and for kids!
I gave this to my 2 yr old niece and she loves it! There's 100s of photos of the floor and people's ankles but in time she'll get better and absolutely loves snapping away with it (adults seem to think it's quite fun too). The age for it is 3+ so she's got time to learn as she grows.

First and foremost this is a kids camera. The quality of the photos isn't what you'd get from a 8 megapixel adult camera, but this is a toy. Your child can drop it on the ground, have sticky fingers and generally have a good kid time with it. That said, the photos aren't bad. The adults managed to get some good photos and so did my niece.

Other things to remember, you need 4 AA batteries and a screwdriver to get into the battery compartment. That's great for kids toys so they can't take the batteries out but bad if you're on holiday when they get the camera and can't put the batteries in.

A big hit!
The V-Tech Kiddizoom camera was bought as a present for my four year old daughter. The camera is very easy to use - within about two minutes of the Kiddizoom being out of the box she was snapping away happily, taking photos of parents, siblings and lots of the cat. The camera is certainly robust; it has been dropped on a number of occasions and has suffered no ill effects whatsoever.

The camera is well designed for little hands, and the menu screens and additional functionality (such as games, memory manager) are easy to access and intuitive. The picture quality is fair, but it should be noted there is no zoom function and there can be some significant shutter lag. As such the Kiddizoom should be seen more as a fun introduction to photography, rather than a full blown operational camera. The camera comes with all the cables, software etc that you need to transfer pictures you want to keep to your PC or to print photos. The Kiddizoom has a number of fun functions - you can overlay comedy noses, devil horns or animations onto your pictures and the additional games also keep little ones occupied for long periods of time. Overall I would recommend the Kiddizoom as a fun way for children to take photos - so they won't want to play around with the more expensive (and fragile) cameras you have around the house. It might not capture the highest quality images, but certainly fulfils the manufacturer's claims to be "ultra-tough and easy to use".

It's good good graphics and there are loads of different types of moves that you have to figure out yourself.
The bit that wasn't so good, was that you only get 5 of the 10 monsters and it's a very short game.

I reallly, really enjoyed this game. I like the idea that his watch is playing up again and can only turn into Four Arms and Heatblast, but Monsters have got some of the Omnitrix and when he defeats them he gets XLR8, Cannonbolt and Wildvine.

I have 20 DS games and my two brothers have a few and most of them are 5 Star, but I think this is the BEST!

I found it hard to begin with and I didn't understand how to play it, although I kept playing and it was brilliant!

According to my nephew this is a great game - only prequisite you must like the Ben-10 cartoons
OK you only get 5 Aliens from the Omnitrix (it's playing up again) so really the game should be Ben-5, although Ben-10 is also ten years old. You start with Four Arms and Heatblast and unlock the next three [XLR8, Cannonbolt, and Wildvine apparently, so no Diamondhead, Ghostfreak, Wildmutt, Ripjaws or Stinkfly - if that means anything to you]. Your adversaries include Enoch, Kevin 11, the giant robot, the fungus plant from Camp fever, Hex, Ghostfreak, Dr. Animo, Six-Six, and Vilgax [the alien war-lord who wants the omnitrix to conquer the galaxy]. There are 14 levels across 5 USA locations. You have training levels, and other reviewers say there's a hard mode after you defeat Vilgax in easy. The game is largely a platform one and you whizz about the top screen as Ben, jumping from one alien form to another to defeat the array of bad guys coming towards you. The Omnitrix naturally loses power when you're in alien form so when the bar reaches zero you are stuck as 10 year old Ben until the Omnitrix [quickly] recharges - so it helps to chose alien forms wisely to pick the best for each combat or manoeuvre, e.g jump chasms.

Great vintage classic fun for everyone!

One of the oldest games still on the market, and has been around for many years. It's a simple, but exciting family game based on pure luck.

Each Player slots one of their swords into the barrel that contains 'Jolly Roger' the Pirate. If you're unlucky, you've chosen the wrong slot, and 'yikes' up pops 'Jolly Roger' - you lose!

This game is great because it's a randomly-chosen slot that's selected by the clever mechanism on every single game, and so nobody can cheat or predict who will win and who will lose! An amazingly simple idea, but it's what makes this game work and so popular.

The components are attractive and brightly coloured, and the barrel itself is extremely robust.

I think I'm right in saying that this game has never been out of production since it was first made - and this only applies to a mere handful of games still on the market today. These include famous titles such as 'Monopoly' and 'Cluedo'.

Fun For All Ages
This is a really excellent childrens game. The construction means you have to hold the barrel with one hand while pushing a sword into it with the other hand so you really get a jolt if the pirate pops out. Everyone from Great Grandparents to 3 year olds love it in our family. It's a great game to bring out onto the dinner table after a meal and everyone can join in. It's completely random who wins each time.
It's very funny and the pirate really does jump out a long way.
Highly recommended.

This is so much fun, me and my 3 year old son love it. One of the best things about it is the fact that you dont need batteries. The suspense of the game it great and the pop up pirate makes us jump every time no matter how often we have played it. It is so easy to set up my son does it all and feels quite confident and important about that. Putting the swords in the barrel is good for a childs co ordination, counting them into equal groups of differnt colours for each player is also educational.
We love it and are glad we bought it anyway.

The perfect game for Friends Addicts!
I have been a fan of Friends ever since it started, and like nothing better than watching the re-runs whenever I happen to catch them on TV! When someone gave me this game for a birthday present, I was really pleased.

You get to choose from Friends related items as your playing piece, amongst them a coffee cup, a Laz-E-Boy chair and the frame found on Monica's door around the peephole (my piece of choice)! As with the normal Scene It, you can play a short round or a longer game, and questions vary from guessing the next line to be said (this is usually multiple choice), working out anagrams of guest stars, answering a question from a crossword, and many other questions from the 10 series. If I had my way, I would get rid of the multiple choice options (sometimes this makes it too easy), and it's also important that you have at least one other Friends addict to play against, otherwise it's not much fun!

A very entertaining game for fans of the show.

Just a jigsaw
I got this as a stocking filler for my 6 year old and it was quite a difficult puzzle to put together.

First of all we couldnt get in the box without ripping all the paper and secondly the pieces are quite flimsy.

It took us a while to finish but we got there!

A great deal for a few pounds
I really don't know what the problem is with some people that can't handle anything a little different that what they are used to. The puzzle can be opened without any trouble, you just had to rip the bottom edges carefully and that's it.
It's a great puzzle, mi 5 year's old had lots of fun with it, I totally recommend this product (the one with the pictures of the monsters too).

The Rubik's cube has not failed to be a recurring feature of most households albeit it is well known to cause anger, frustration and despair. As a result of my discovery of an original '80s octagonal-based prism Rubik's cube lying around in my home, I decided to purchase an 'original' Rubik's cube at a local toy shop.

Whilst providing excellent levels of brain training this little toy broke after only two days of use (the blue centerpiece snapped off). It would seem therefore that the Rubik's brand have cocked up the design and left the core extremely vulnerable to damage.

A fun toy but whatever you do...don't drop it.

Rubik's Cube came out around 1980, about 30 years ago.

People were far more intelligent back then.

There is very little point anyone today bothering with a Rubik's Cube. Just forget it and get back to reality TV and txtng each other.

For people over 40: The physical mechanism of these 2000 era cubes is probably not as good as the old ones: at any rate, they are a little different. Obviously the platonic cube is unchanged.

There are now various idiotic cubes with flashing lights, etc - suitable for Today's People.

I bought this product a while since, I found the game very pratical at the start. But once i had played it a numorous amount of time's it became to repetative, there is'nt much life in the game. But younger ages e.g

where do I start?
I don't know where to begin! Simply, this is a magical little game yet I can fully understand why some people would not appreciate its madness and genius. Its cute, fun, relaxing and easy without you finishing it in the first few days of purchase - infact it can last months. The people who don't like this game are essentially right, as there is nothing of real urgency to do. You just swan around your little town and build a life for yourself by collecting things, selling things and doing odd jobs but the appealing thing about this game is that its not meant to be played on for hours at a time each day. Much like nintendogs and other similar games you only really play on it for about 30 minutes a day just to check up on everything but unlike nintendogs there are no restrictions because if you really want you can just collect fish and bugs and fossils for hours and hours. This game was made for the DS as you can take your town with you every where and the wi fi is, of course genius so its a much more appealing prospect than the animal crossing that was brought out on the gamecube. In my opinion its an essential DS game.

When Nintendo released the DS in 2004 it was a massive success. The console features a clamshell design, similar to the Game Boy Advance SP, with two LCD screens inside - with the bottom being a touchscreen. The Nintendo DS also features a built-in microphone and supports wireless IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) standards, allowing players to interact with each other.
On March 2, 2006, Nintendo released the Nintendo DS Lite, a redesign of the Nintendo DS, in Japan. It was later released in the USA, Europe, and Australia in June 2006. The DS Lite is a slimmer and lighter version of the Nintendo DS and has brighter screens.
The lower display of the Nintendo DS is overlaid with a touchscreen, designed to accept input from the included stylus, the user's fingers, or a curved plastic tab attached to the optional wrist strap. The touchscreen allows users to interact with in-game elements more directly than by pressing buttons; for example, in the included chatting software, PictoChat, the stylus is used to write messages or draw. Traditional controls are located on either side of the touchscreen. To the left is a D-pad, with a narrow Power button above it, and to the right are the A, B, X, and Y buttons, with narrow Select and Start buttons above them. Shoulder buttons L and R are located on the upper corners of the lower half of the system.
Nintendo decided to release some pretty colours (with Japan having certain coloured DS's that haven't been released here yet) and they too became a necessity with fans or collectors, and those that didn't fancy the plain colours (black and white) originally.
Battery lasts around 10 hours and is rechargable. The DS Lite is well constructed from quality materials, which we've come to expect from Nintendo.

It's quite amazing to see the global domination of the DS Lite and just how many new people, some which have never played a video game before, have become games players. It's true that you're never too old to have fun and there's always something new to learn in life, and with the variety of games available including the wonderful Brain Training, it's just too good to forget about.

If you haven't bought a DS Lite yet, consider joining the millions that have. You might just like it!

Excellent Fun For All Ages!
I've had my NDS Lite for about eight months now and have never regretted buying it. I was initially put off with the bulky original DS, but after seeing an NDS Lite thought I would bite the bullet. I also bought an external see through case/skin and a small hard pouch/case to put the nds lite and its peripherals into it. If your going to spend this much money spend a little more to protect your investment. I'm glad I did - Ive dropped this a couple of times onto the floor some time ago (not recommended!), but the hard crystal case/skin (which i bought separately) appears to have saved it.

The NDS Lite itself is incredibly addictive many games use the touch screen stylus and microphone as well as the buttons. I have since played with a PSP and been overawed by the PSP - the games on PSP look way more better than on the NDS, but again Nintendo have got the mixture just right and I still don't regret buying the NDS Lite, would still buy it over the PSP - its my faithful companion that I even take to work (to play during my breaks). Although I initially bought this for myself, my wife is forever 'borrowing' it! This is where another coloured DS Lite would come in handy!

I hate carrying all my cartridges around with me so I ended up buying a m3 ds real, a flash cart that you use instead of the game cartridges. This is a bit if a grey area as although it doesn't invalidate your Nintendo warranty, its usage is frowned upon as a lot of people use it for piracy. But its advantages cannot be denied - Ive got a 8gb micro sdhc card which slots into the m3, and allows me to carry 8gb worth of games all on one cartridge! (you have to download the games, and you can download legal home brew software, but please support the game developers and *only* download the cartridges you own, say NO to piracy and don't spoil it for the rest of us). I tend to find prices on play.com very good for buying nds cartridges. The m3 also allows me to play video, music and pictures on the NDS Lite - something Nintendo should have done ages ago.

Also with some games you can actually export your saved characters onto the Wii!! For example Pokemon Daimond/Pearl on NDS to Pokemon Battle Revolution on the Wii!

If your debating whether or not to buy - just buy it, you wont regret it! (Now all you have to do is choose what colour you want!)

Fun for all ages!!
I got this game for my daughter last year and we still play it now, There's something quite therapeutic about peeling veg with your stylus, chopping onions etc. There are many things to do and many recipes to unlock. Me and my kids love it.

Cooking Mama 2
I really liked cooking mama 2 but in my opinion it is quite short. Although you can change mama's clothes and decorate her kitchen! There are tons of recipes, at first you start of with 2 characters and only a few recipes but as you play the game you can unlock more characters and recipes, but if you don't like cooking or prefer adventure don't buy this game. This was my first nintendo DS game. I liked it but I completed it in a week. In my opinion you should get this game but it isn't very adventurous.

A great game...for awhile...
First of all, can i just say that on Cooking Mama 2, the actual game play is very, very good. It's a classic game for all ages that takes full advantage of the DS's touch screen. The mini-games are fun and the graphics are not amazing but are suitable for the type of game.

Now we come to the let downs. Firstly, as i find with a lot of games like this, it is just too short! OK, so it has more than the original, and the new deserts that are not in CM1 are a deffiant bonus, but after i had completed it, i found myself wondering what to do.

The Cooking with Mama mode is simply easy because anything you do wrong, mama will fix, and you carry on, but once you have mastered the all mini-games (which does not take longer than a few hours of gaming) the Cooking with Friends mode (where mama cannot fix your mistakes) is a breeze.

Some people may argue that getting gold in all the recipes takes up along time, but personally, after doing all the recipes, i had no motivation to go through them all over again. Quite simply, I got bored. The mini-games got repetitive, mama's voice drove me insane and in the end, I gave up.

I'm really sorry but I just can't bring myself to give this 4 stars, what i would like to say is that Harvest Moon and Pokemon Diamond are bot fantastic and well worth the money, so save your pocket money and buy them, because they are worth the extra cost.

This is a great game, it's only my fourth DS game but it's a challenging game. I got it for my eighth birthday. I find the pottery class a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it, it's great. First you start of with only four pupils. At the end of the lesson you get to mark a pupils work.It is a fantastic game and I hope you buy it if you don't you will be missing a lot of fun.BUY THIS GAME!

Birthday present for grandson
My soon to be nine year old grandson had only one request from me for his birthday....the spy robot car. "But," he told me, " how much can you spend....they are [...]!" He was pretty close to correct and I try to keep my birthday gifts for 9 grandchildren at around [...]. When I started looking for the product on line, it was over [...] everywhere except Amazon. I got it for closer to [...]. I was pleased and he was thrilled with his gift.

If only it was made well
This toy is so much fun... when it works. The boy that I work with got his for Christmas last year and it was so cool... for a week. Then the wheel fell off and the parts were so tiny that we couldn't them. It was a very expensive piece of trash. I then bought my daughter one thinking that it was just a fluke that his was junk. However, when my daughter's spy car arrived the video camera was faulty and we got no picture through the glasses. I think that if they put as much thought into the production as they did into the concept it would be amazing, however, I think they need to go "back to the drawing board" and get it right.

Nyko Wii Frontman works great for me
I saw an amazing price on the Nyko Wii Frontman guitar controller and thought for sure something so much cheaper than the original Guitar Hero guitar would be inferior. But at the price (and with the other reviews) I figured it was worth a try. Well I'm happy to report my fears were thus far unfounded. The guitar performs great for me - although I'm not a Guitar Hero master. If you are used to the official guitar you will notice some differences:

1. The neck is not removable, so it is less convenient for those who maybe need to travel or store the guitar in tighter spaces
2. The + and - buttons are on the opposite side of the whammy bar - just cosmetic to me
3. The whammy bar's up/down orientation adjustment is a little stiffer than my original - I think that the stiffness is preferable as it doesn't bump out of alignment as easily
4. Obviously you can see it is a different style - I like having two different guitars than two identical ones
5. The Frontman comes with a replaceable pick guard for two color options. I don't really care about this much, but it gives a little more variety. The "pick" tool to remove the guard is conveniently housed inside the Wii controller bay.

I read in some reviews that this guitar is smaller. That is not true of mine - they are the same size.

I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Decent replacment or additional guitar
The "Frontman" guitars are a decent replacement or additional guitar to use for your Guitar Hero game. The unit itself feels and looks a bit "cheaper" then the regular GH or RB guitars but still work just fine. The buttons feel a bit "spongy" to me, again they work fine but if your used to a GH or RB guitar it might take a little getting used to. They are currently lsited to work with Guitar Hero III and I know from experience they work fine with Guitar Hero Aerosmith. They may not work with Rock Band, check Nyko's website for that. One nice thing is both the white and yellow models come with a changeable pick guard so if you buy two of the same color you can still change ones pick guard and have them look a little different.

For the price these are worth picking up, especially if you have one guitar currently and want a second for two player playing. It also makes a good backup or travel guitar since the price is relatively low.

Works Perfectly! Simple To Use!
My wireless router sits within a few feet of my Wii. I saw no reason why I should be using a wireless connection, when a wired connection is typically faster and more reliable (and is one less possible source of device conflicts).

This worked perfectly. I purchased this on one of the Black Friday sales, so it was much cheaper than the normal price. I figured I had nothing to lose. But, now that I am using it, I think it's a good value at the current price too.

Simple to use:

1. Plug it into one of the USB ports in the back of the Wii.
2. Connect the device to your router using a Cat-5 line (not included).
3. Go into the Wii Internet menu and configure the internet connection for "wired".

If it's working, you'll see a blue LED on the device blink as it is accessing the internet. Hardest part was opening the package!

Does the trick
I was looking for a product that would replace the spotty wireless connection that I had (older router clear across the house...). I also wanted the additional speed that a dedicated, hard-wired connection would provide to the gaming console. This did the trick - no problems so far, and very simple to setup in the configuration section of the Wii menu. Definitely would recommend this to anyone having problems with a wireless connection.

I have collected plenty of copies of GWR but this excels all. The 3-D glasses bring the book to life.

The best gets better every year
I still buy and read the Guinness Record book every year, because it's become like an old friend that I like to catch up with, but I have to disagree with Birch East. I like the way it has changed and brings out a fresh look each year. The changes, like holograms, 3D whatever, make it fresh every year. My nephews also are big fans of the 3D gimmick.

I do agree with the recommendation for Getting Into Guinness: One Man's Longest, Fastest, Highest Journey Inside the World's Most Famous Record Book, the new book by Larry Olmsted about the history and culture of the Guinness World Records book. After reading his review I snapped up a copy and it is great--very entertaining and a fun read! I have read the record book for years but never stopped to wonder where it came from (Guinness Stout of course!), how it got so big, and how large a role it has played in pop culture, and just how crazy some of the record holders seem to be. Getting Into Guinness is the story behind the records and a fun, well researched, adult read.

Almost Perfect- Having the balance board is a must!
I have been truly enjoying We Ski! Compared to the Wii Fit skiing, there are several nice additions that make this game alot of fun!
The mountain has several runs from easy to advanced. Once you get a hang of the use of the nunchuck and remote as your poles, you'll find the game to offer alot of different mini games- from search and rescue to delivery service on the mtn. The only downfall of the game is that unlike the wii fit skiing which allows for forward and backward use of the balance board to increase or decrease spped, We Skiing only allows for side to side motions with the balance board.

Confusing
I had a very hard time understanding what to do with this game. I read the directions (which were also hard to understand) and wound up having fun not by constantly having my skiier bang into trees, people, etc - not the concept of the game. But since I couldn't get my skieer to do what I wanted it to do, which was ski, I had a blast just playing around with the controls and seeing my skiier bump into things. This is not as easy as the Nintendo games and therefore would not recommend it.

So much fun for the whole family
I love skiing in the Wii Fit what little there is of it so when I saw this I grabbed it and my husband and I skiied and had a blast. I love that you have free reign of all the slopes and the whole area, you can choose to do quests or not, and get a bit of a workout too and that it uses the balance board. I even get a little motion sick, but not bad enough to not keep playing, on some of the slopes which shows how real it can feel at times. Great game. I do wish we could go in the buildings or earn money to buy outfits and gear rather than earn stars and gear but that doesn't take away from the fun.

Not what you see.
I ordered this product with it showing that it came with the balance board, I got my order and it did not come with it. So, I called Amazon to have them send me another order but including the balance board as shown in the advertisement. They said they would send me out another one and that it would be in there, but it wasn't. If it doesn't come with the board, the advertisement should read balance board not included. Only half reliable

Wish it was wireless but works well....
I bought the classic controller specifically to play donkey kong country on the virtual console. I like the setup on the controller but think it feels a bit cheap and that it might break if I drop it more than 2 feet. However, it works perfectly for the game. The one big thing I don't like about it is that the cord to hook up to the wii remote comes out from the bottom. This gets in the way much more than if the cord came out from the top like most controllers do. Other than that, and the fact that it is not wireless, this is a decent controller. Hopefully, Nintendo will come out with a wireless version soon!! (or something that keeps the wii remote and the classic controller together so it's not as hard to pass to someone else if you only have one controller!)

Weird button layout
The controller works like it should but it is annoying that it has to be plugged into the wii remote for it to work. It seems kind of expensive for a simple add-on that has to be plugged into another remote.

We played Super Mario Bros. with the controller only to find out that if you want to play two player you need two controllers (even though you switch off turns). One person uses the controller, the other uses the remote. Definitely not buying another one.

Also the button layout is a little weird. On the top there are four buttons in a row instead of two behind the others, like playstation. Also there is no trigger button underneath for N64 games. I understand it is a very "universal" controller but I think it could have been designed a little better.

OK, but not a must have
The only reason I got it was because it came with a bundle that I thought I would have to buy before Wii became widely available again. With the tennis racket on, there is no way to set up the game, the signal is blocked but you can still play with it after it is set up. It is just easier playing without the raquet. The golf club is pointless. It's barely adds more than a foot to the remote. The bat is ok, but removing it to pitch is a pain. The wheel works but the B button on the botton is hard to reach while holding the wheel. The Nintendo wheel is so much nicer. We played rockpaperscissors to determine the loser who had to use this wheel. Not a must have. Put your money toward another game.

Don't overspend on this item
I bought this cable after going to Best Buy in my neighborhood and seeing nothing under $40 for an HD cable. They wanted $64 for the MC version. Don't waste your money. This cable performs just as well for a much better price. If you are anything of a videophile you will notice the difference immediately. Highly recommended.

This is the first guitar hero game I have ever played. Great game, plenty of challenge. Just wish it had more music from earlier rock years.

age appropriate games
I ordered this game for my granddaughter who was turning 10. When I got the box and looked at it I decided that it really seemed inappropriate for her age. The tatooed, pierced singers on the box and the warning - at that point - that the words were sexually explicit were more than I could deal with for a just turning 10 year old. I wish there had been some sort of heads up in the description. I couldn't really say how much fun the game was because I didn't give it to her.

Great Product
I bought this as a birthday gift for a family member. It was delivered in a timely fashion by Amazon with no damage.

The game was easy to assemble and learn to play. I only wish that they would create a Guitar Hero: Van Halen, Def Lepard or Rolling Stones edition. I am sure those are to follow.

I highly recommend it.

The game itself is fun but the guitar controller is lacking in quality
I find the guitar hero brand of games very enjoyable. The game itself is very fun and has a huge selection of songs. The guitar controller has failed after 1 month. Maybe I got a lemon? The strum bar doesn't work anymore. I had other controllers that are 2 years old and still working fine. That is why I gave it only 1 star for this package. I give the game 4 stars but the controller is not made for the long haul.

Holy crow!
So, hubby and I waited outside of Target at o'dark o-clock in the morning on Black Friday to get this game on sale. We were planning on getting a Wii, but didn't have one yet. We got the game, then caved into temptation (we'll get our parents presents LATER haha) and found a Wii later on that day. We hooked the system up, and for the rest of the holiday weekend, while hubby was at work, I proceeded to play this game for 8-9 hours straight every day. I LOVE THIS GAME!

Granted, I have no way of rating this to other versions of GH, but I am very impressed with the quality of this game. The audio is crisp, clear, and true to the original songs, and the visuals are awesome (I kept missing notes when I'd glance up to watch my character).

My only gripe is that the Star Power button is hard to use on the guitar that's included in the kit...I almost always miss a note when I'm trying to activate it...I get SO teed when I get THIS close to 100% and mess up!

For a beginner, I would highly recommend this game!!

This game rocks, depending on the song...
I have to admit, I was skeptical when purchasing this game for the Wii. After seeing demos in game stores on the Xbox, I doubted the Wii could deliver the same experience. The over all graphics of the game are ok. For Wii standards I think they are pretty good. The menus look sharp and clean, the actual band performances however look like something from a PS2 or Xbox. But because I am so focused on the notes I have little time to gawk at the band on stage. Plus I don't have an HD cable connecting the Wii to my TV, so I am guessing that may be a factor as well.

definitely fun!
This was the first game I bought after getting my Wii with Wii Sports. Having the Zapper definitely makes it easier to shot the targets. While the game play is not all that sophisticated it is a lot of fun and definitely showcases the features of the Wii Remote over other consoles.
PS: I also ordered the 'Wii Perfect Shot Gun' by Nyko but have not received it yet. Still looking for good shoting games.

its okay
i got the gun because i wanted the feel of a gun for the diffrent shooter games zelda,resident evil,ect. and the gun does exactly what you would expect it to what i didnt like was the way your supposed to hold the gun it just doesnt feel right and like in resident evil your supposed to shake the gun to reload which can be difficult and it doesnt hide the cords at all wich get tangled up in you hand and whip you in the face when your trying to reload the weapon,as for the zelda game all i can say is boring and is only fun for the fist time you play it, recomend for kids

Zapper - OK, Link's Crossbow Traing - Boo!
I have had problems with Link's Crossbow Training. Two different copies of the game have not worked on my Wii. As far as the actual Zapper goes, I haven't had much use for it yet. I recently ordered some of the Cabelas Hunting games that are compatible with the Zapper and look forward to using them. I feel like the Zapper and Link's Crossbow Training are way overpriced at $[...]. I would try to find them used for less money.

This is really fun!!!
This turns out to be a very challenging game. It can get very competitive when playing others, which makes it even more fun to play. This is fun for all ages. I am 62 and have a great time with it, and my grandson requested it for Christmas this year which made buying a gift for him very easy.

A lot of fun for adults and kids
Great game. My sons (4 and 6) and I love it. There are many different modes and you can create your own levels. There are competitive and cooperative multiplayer levels, so you have a lot of options.

Fantastic game for the Wii
We have had this game for a few weeks now and it is nothing short of amazing. The fact that the blox and the characters all have different characteristics makes the game fun and challenging. We haven't unlocked all of the levels yet, so there is still more to look forward to. An added bonus is the fact that you can create your own levels using the same blox and characters. My kids have been very creative in creating their own levels. I would highly recommend this game for the Wii.

Solid game, WYSIWYG
I've been a fan of the Super Smash Brothers series since the N64 version came out. I got it the first day it came out and was excited and enthralled with the cross over fighting game. Super Smash Brothers Melee came out and it alone made the Game Cube a worthy purchase for me. I feared that with Brawl, nothing could live up to the fun I had felt while playing the previous versions. I feared the addition of characters for the sake of new characters would be nothing more than mere novelty. I was pleased to have these fears relieved. Super Smash Brothers Brawl delivers an exciting play experience with all its options. The stage designer allows a nice creative outlet and keeps the game constantly changing for many players. The achievements are somewhat staggering, but this gives something to hardcore players.

The new characters mesh really well for the most part (there are a few that feel strange). The game play has changed enough to keep it fresh, but not enough to completely change what was loved. I've found that my skills from Melee transfer really well over to Brawl. There are a few differences, but in terms of control, the GameCube controller gives me the same level of proficiency.

To keep it from being a pure clone of Melee the characters have almost all been universally slowed down. People used to the fast pace of Melee might notice this or become very annoyed with the speed. It was probably done for two good reasons I can think of: better online experiences and character balance. Speed is still an asset in the game, but it is not the ultimate weapon. This allows a bit more balance between characters previously unusable. Bowser and Donkey are still fairly bad, but not NEARLY as bad as they were before.

This is not meant to be a seriously competitive game. It's meant to be brain candy for yourself or a group of friends. There are some flaws in the characters, notably Ike being ridiculously overpowered. Overall, I think these flaws are simple enough to ignore and just focus on enjoying a really well put together game.

I bought this for my husband and son, and its one of their family games to play together.. they say its much better than all the other ones because it has different ways to play now.. and of course, more characters..

Like me Super Smash Bros. Brawl gets a little old
Bought this for my little cousins along with the console. They seemed to like it ok but not that fun for the older crowd (I was 29 at the time). The attacks didn't seem that sophisticated and I couldn't really string together any satisfactory attacks which was the big appeal for me in fighting games.

I like the idea of 4 players fighting at once, but that doesn't make up for more complex moves and more refined attacks.

Do you like Wii Sports? If so, you'll like this game (actually, a collection of games) too. Also, you get a Wii Remote along with the package. So basically you are buying another bunch of multiplayer Wii games and a Wii Remote. If that's what you want, this game is for you.

A Few Features That I Like (And the One That I Don't):
Features I like:

*sound options! I can fall asleep or wake up to nature sounds, my iPod, radio, or alarm.

*size and shape -- smaller, more stylish than the clunky, traditional rectangular clock radios, and so it fits nicely on my small nightstand

*iPod docking station can be modified with the various inserts included to accommodate any type of iPod.

*3 settings for the back lighting on the time -- bright, slightly less bright, and "off" -- a big plus for those who don't like the glare of the clock radio in the middle of the night. I use the "off" setting for the weekends . . . then I know that I really don't have to get up! Yaayy!

Only problem with the "off" setting is that you can only see the time in a light room, not in a dark room. I don't like the light, but I also am one of those people who needs to glance at the time during the night. I have always remedied the problem of excessive glare by draping a small piece of sheer colored fabric across the front of any clock radio that I've ever owned . . . softens the light but I can still see the time.

The one feature I don't like:

* mirror-like finish shows every dang fingerprint and smudge! A little artistry is required when wiping clean or you will inadvertently click on the buttons and change your settings.

All in all, not a bad clock radio! If they could just tweak it a bit (like making a dimmer setting that would be genuinely dim but still show the time in a dark room, and losing the smudge-prone finish) it might be a near perfect product.

Great chargers as not to use battery power any more.
Much better than batteries, however, the units are sometimes a pain to try to get in to charge. The outer shell has to be lifted and even then it is sometimes trial and error. I would recommend them just to save battery life and changing of batteries on a daily basis.

Don't buy this, buy rechargable AA batteries instead.
I purchased this for convenience and to save money on batteries. The idea is great, the design and quality are poor. The remotes with the back plate provided do not make a great connection. You have to wiggle the remote in the stand to make the connection solid for charging. To date I have had to replace one rechargeable pack and the other one doesn't hold the charge that well anymore. I've had it for a little over a year and would recommend that you purchase rechargeable AA batteries. You will have less aggravation.

I loved this movie that I bought for my grandaughter. I was always a Tinker Bell fan. Her animation and voice were right on. The hair could have looked softer. Anyway - kids loved it, but mostly I did.

A pleasant surprise
To be honest, I thought this movie would be lame. But just a few minutes into it I changed my mind. The story is old, but with some new twists, and the characters are good. There are memorable moments as well: Tink gently convincing a mouse that together they can accomplish a monumental task; the coming of Spring to London, courtesy of the fairies (some clever stuff here, and beautiful music as well); and my favorite, Tinker Bell trying to teach a baby bird to fly. The expressions on the bird's face had me literally howling with laughter. Excellent animation, beautiful colors, gorgeous backgrounds, fine music, and the story is well handled, often amusing, and sometimes quite touching.

Worth the wait
It seems like my daughters have been waiting for this movie to come out for years! We pre-ordered it and got it the day after it was released. I thought the animation was excellent, very colorful. The story is perfect for my[...] daughters and their friends. They love the Disney Fairy products and are thrilled to watch this over and over.

Just okay, mostly disappointing
In the very slim chance that Disney reads these reviews, I'd like to pile on to other criticisms in the hope that the Dawn Treader doesn't make the same mistakes. As a huge C.S. Lewis and Narnia fan, I was so disappointed in Caspian. Same reasons as many other reviewers: too many unnecessary liberties taken; little dialogue, so very little way to connect with and enjoy the characters; too grim; etc. At the end of the movie, I felt like I didn't get to spend any time with the characters b/c most of the movie was some sort of battle.

Sure, there were a few good things. Reepicheep was great; so was the DLF. The scenery and landscapes were beautiful. Some of the battles (or parts of battles) were enjoyable and had a sense of honor and bravery. But that's about it. Caspian was okay, a little boring. The posturing between Peter and Caspian was silly, as was the flicker of romance between Caspian and Susan. Not enough of Aslan. Not enough of Lucy. No lessons. Nothing anywhere near the charm of Mr. Tumnus.

You know how at the end of some movies (good ones) you have that feeling like you want more of a good thing? You wish the movie would go on and on? (That's why I ripped through all the Narnia books in the first place.) Well, after watching Caspian, I had a feeling of wanting more of what I knew existed in the book but didn't come through in the movie...it was a yearning for what could have been instead of what was delivered. It was a huge disappointment and a real shame. And I truly hope the Dawn Treader can deliver what the first movie did, and what the books all do....a real connection to the characters and a reason to start thinking about what it means to believe in something and to stand up for your beliefs. I don't think that notion is incompatible with making a block-buster of a movie.

A Good Movie, Though I Liked The First One Better
First off, I'll comment on the spread of the reviews. The higher star rating, the more votes, which means more like it than dislike it. On the other hand, the dispersement of votes shows that it was not an overwhelming fan favorite. I suggest for that reason that you do not take this review by itself in deciding whether to purchase this.

Let me give the basics. It is based on the second of C. S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. It has been over 20 years since I read this one, but from my memory this movie was not as faithful to the original as the first of the series was. A lot of those changes were effective for a movie. However, I think there was a little more romance than in the book, and more dealing with vengeance.

There were two great lessons in the book. One of them, dealing with Reepicheep (who stole the show, even though he's just a . . . sorry, my thought was not very original), was intact (after you see the movie or read the book, you'll notice the irony of the word "intact"). The other was juggled in the plot and lost the strength it had in the book.

The special effects were great. My favorite was the shot of an arrow speeding through the air that looked like the arrow was standing still with the background moving.

Can you take your kids with you to this movie? Sure, but I think they would have enjoyed "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" better.

Kung Fu Panda is the best Dreamworks film to date. It even rivals Pixar in top notch quality, humor, and re-watch value. Jack Black does a superb job as Po and the other big name actors do a fine job lending their voices to the other characters. Movie was GREAT; AMAZON was the problem!!
Sorry for giving this movie a 1 STAR..but if you understood the situation you would have to agree with me! I ordered the regular version on November 3rd..and received the DVD and 1 book TODAY. I do not recommend using super saver shipping if you plan to give your item as a gift! I never had a problem with the regular shipping before..BUT I was really disappointed that my first order was LOST in the mail! I was wondering why my item never arrived after almost 2.5 weeks..and I had to contact customer service. They said my item was lost in the mail and they shipped out a new order AFTER I had to contact them again to see why they haven't shipped my item (they finally shipped after 3 days of re-contacting them!). I explained that my daughter's birthday was the 30th..and the two items were gifts. Customer service shipped my item out on 2 day. It was a little too late..and the DVD case came cut up on the crease!

Impossibly brilliant
Nothing and no one can hold a candle to Heath Ledger's tour de force performance. Bravissimo!

Dark, Visual and Incredible (A Grade)
After seeing The Dark Knight, I left the theater, literally shaking because what I had just witnessed was movie making at its very best. This is how movies should be made. There is enough action, twists and turns that your head just spins. The acting alone should make you sit up and take notice because the actors are no longer just players on a stage, but rather they are the embodiment of the characters they have become.

I now finally understand about the three separate movie posters that each show Batman, the Joker and Harvey Dent with half their faces being covered as they hold up something against one side of their face, while the other side has nothing to hide. These are three men with totally separate goals. One is goodness and everything righteous; the other tries to work for good but is caught between two different worlds; the third has no morals or reason for his madness, he just does what he does because he enjoys it. He is like a dog that chases after a car, knowing he will never catch it just because it is fun to do, or so The Joker tries to explain to Harvey his reasons for the chaos and anarchy he causes.

The Dark Knight begins where the last movie has left off. If you haven't seen Batman Begins, no worries, because the director, Chris Nolan, has done a wonderful job of catching the audience up to speed. The first 45 minutes or so are a casual build up, and I admit I was a bit antsy during this time because I was expecting mind numbing action and explosions right away. They come later, and when they do, your heart will be beating a mile a minute.

Gotham's criminals have pretty much been inactive mainly because of Batman. There are still some petty crime and the Mob are in control to extent, but things are pretty ho-hum in the villain department. But then a man with a maniacal laugh and a face painted haphazardly with clown makeup makes his entrance. Gotham will never be the same.

There is a new District Attorney in town and he is Harvey Dent who is a good guy, deep down to his core. Bruce Wayne is not sure about Harvey, in part, because Harvey has stolen away his old love, Rachel Dawes. Harvey is everything Bruce wishes he could be but can't. In order for Bruce to fight crime as Batman, he must do some things that are not very lawful. Bruce has major issues because of his conscience. How far can he go and should go to keep peace and order? Batman is going to have quite the wake up call because The Joker will shake up the order of things in ways you will not see coming.

Whereas Harvey is the face of law and order and is willing to go as far as he can to a point, Batman is given an out because he is a vigilante. Others will turn and look the other way if he has to kill or cause his own chaos to save Gotham. But because Batman has a conscience, unlike The Joker, he will not step over that line even if it means saving the most important people in his life that he cares about. The Joker knows Batman's weaknesses and will do his best to cause total and utter meltdown in Gotham, mainly to get Batman to admit that he has a very dark place inside, that he may have to reach down into, thus becoming The Dark Knight.

The Dark Knight is a very, very dark picture. There is so much death and destruction, and the funny thing is, The Joker is responsible for the set up, but he places the decisions in everyone else's hands, and not his own. He may be the cause, but he is not the effect. Batman and The Joker are very much like the pieces on a chessboard. Because they are each other's nemesis and essentially equal, they are always at a checkmate. Wherever The Joker goes, Batman will follow and visa versa. The odd man out is Harvey and again The Joker uses one of Harvey's weaknesses to get him to do what he wants. The Joker is that little demon on your shoulder that tells you want you want to hear even though it may be so very wrong.

The Dark Knight is not your childhood Batman. Many issues arise where a person's moral being comes into play. Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent are very moral people, but when a man like The Joker comes along, who has no rhyme or reason for the destruction he causes, how can these two men not sink down to his level? That is the main question asked and with the end of The Dark Knight, and future installments of this Batman series, this moral dilemma will be the main focus and a foreshadowing of things to come.

Visually, The Dark Knight is perfect, but the most important reason to go see a movie such as this, even if you are not a fan of superheroes or comic book action, is the acting. Forget about Michael Keaton; Christian Bale has really succeeded in this role where Michael hasn't. I had hoped the direction of what Batman has to become would be a darker and more unstable individual, and Christian has tapped into Batman's psyche wonderfully. Aaron Eckhart almost took over this movie with his portrayal of Harvey Dent. He even outshined Christian in a few scenes.

Last but not least, and I purposely saved the best for last is Heath Ledger. What an incredible way to leave this Earth and on such a high note. I never really appreciated Heath's acting until Brokeback Mountain. I thought he was just another pretty boy actor. I was very much mistaken. If you put all of Heath's scenes together as the Joker, his total on screen running time is about thirty minutes. But those thirty minutes show a true master at work. So many actresses and actors don't have the skill or the inclination to stretch their abilities to the maximum in their work. There are a very select few who vanish as that individual we come to know outside of their professional capacity. They become their character to the point that they disappear in that role. Heath has done so with The Joker. Take the homicidal tendencies of Alex from A Clockwork Orange, with a smidgen of Dr. Hannibal Lector's intuitiveness from Silence of the Lambs, and the face of Gwynplaine from The Man Who Laughs, and you have Ledger's Joker.

I could go on with the praise about Heath Ledger's acting mainly because of the tragedy of his death, but quite honestly, The Dark Knight is a group effort with the three men of, Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart and Heath Ledger. I have only touched upon a small part of why The Dark Knight is such a wonderful viewing experience. Some may this movie success lies because of the skills of director and his players. Perhaps it is the hardcore fans, or it may possibly be the death of an actor who died so young.

I say this is a fine movie by people who know what they are doing. It is refreshing to know that there are still professionals in the movie industry that want to give the public quality entertainment, and The Dark Knight is such a movie.

This was probably the best movie I saw in 2008. The Indiana Jones movie came in a close second. Heath Ledger took the joker in directions I wish others had taken him. I don't understand why people were dissing the length of the film. It could have been 6 hours for all I care. I found it to be pure cinematic excellence, plus I think in terms of movies Chris Nolan stumbled upon what can finally be determined is the real Batman. The story is great, the acting is incredible. However, I wish they would left somewhere else to go. A third film would have been great, considering most movies lately have been so terrible its scary!!

Pubescent Hormones and Robots Run Amok
While it's amusing enough, and the effects are impeccable, there's little doubt about the age of the intended audience. Every adult in the film is a clueless buffoon or an officious wacko.

Whether apparently flirty bimbos or bookish babes, the girls are the intelligent ones while the "guys" are walking blobs of hormones and machismo.

It's a nice bit of overblown fun even if it can't decide whether to be a serious thriller or a comedic adventure.

Funny, Entertaining and phenomenal special effects!
This is one of the most entertaining movies in the last 20 years. And isn't that what movies are supposed to be? It is funny, cute, entertaining and the special effects are exceptional. And of course it has a great ending. Not much more one can ask for. Highly recommended to all ages but you have to have a sense of humor!

Great holiday tradition

My 20-month-old son is a HUGE Thomas fan, so when I saw these recently at a store, I had to pick them up for him. They're adorable!

They work like any other bathtub squirter -- just fill them up with water and squeeze them to watch water come out the "smokestack." (You have to fill them up pretty full for it to work properly, as the water is being squirted straight up.)

My son also enjoys playing with them outside of the tub. They don't really roll, as of course they don't have working wheels, but he still likes to make them "chug" across the floor.

Great toy with lots of features.
My 12 year old girl got it and it was a bit difficult to transform. But, with perserverance, she did it.
I think any Transformers lover would really like getting this.

Good Times!!!!
I really enjoy this Bumblebee. I appreciate challenge so I transform it without using the instructions; takes me about 20 minutes. Overall it's good quality although the doors don't always seem to close properly. I don't recommend it for children, though. The lights and sounds are entertaining and amusing however it's really more of an item that should be displayed. In my opinion, it's too expensive to have it smashed and crashed by kids.

Man, this is the best toy ever created ! I'd recommend it to anyone. When I saw it on Hasbro[...], I thought it was one of those little action figures, but I saw the word interactive. I clicked on it, and after I read what it was, I freaked! I finally got it for Christmas, and I tell you, it's the best toy yet! Most people don't like R2's bad mood, but I think it makes him more "realistic." And he's both fun and funny! There are two reasons I like this toy. It's really sophisticated, and it's R2-D2! Just like the movies.
R2-D2 is a great toy. Although he's a little smaller that the real thing, he acts and looks exactly like it. Some commands are a little complex, but otherwise it cooperates wonderfully. A child who's a fan of star wars, even them would think it's ultimate. Even though it's only a robot, it makes a great friend and butler. (It has a drink holder that can serve drinks to you.) I think R2 is one of the best toys ever, and for one reason is that he's one of my favorites. I'm acting like I already have him, but I'm reading reviews, and so far, most people love it. The only thing that concerns me is that his educational value seems pretty low, and I wonder if that could effect play value. But R2 seems pretty awesome.

Better than I expected
My son received the Mystery Inc figures along with the Mystery Machine for his birthday. He's rough on everything. The figures have held up well. They have been used in the bathtub as well as in the Mystery Machine and have no scratches, missing limbs or other disfigurments.

They DID NOT smell bad to me. I think this may depend on the batches that were manufactured.

They are based on the New Scooby Doo characters. So, Daphne does not have her boots and Fred is dressed more modernly. It is true that Velma is lacking undergarments. But then again, it's hard to be ladylike in a plastic skirt.

The feet on these characters are hollow. This helps them stand upward. They do have trouble staying seated properly on the driver's bench of the Mystery Machine. They also have a groove in their hands to allow them to grasp a steering wheel or other object.

I am far more impressed with these figureines than I am with the Mystery Machine itself. I think they are a great value for the money. They allow imaginations to make up story lines. They have been durable so far.

I would recommend these to Scooby Doo fans. The figures are a bit primitive, but the kids seem to enjoy playing with them.

My kids love these guys!
I bought this set of figures for my 3 children ranging in age from 2-6 in Feb. 2008. We bought them for a family trip, something new to play with on the plane ride. I had read reviews that the figures had a strong odor to them, so I brought along a zip lock bag to store them in just incase they really did smell bad. They do have a pretty strong "plasticy" rubber smell to them. It isn't terrible, but after a while I did feel inclined to put them in the zip lock bag. HOWEVER, my children absolutely love them! When we reached our destination, I let them take the scooby gang swimming in the pool with them and the chlorine did seem to take care of the plastic smell. The gang does have several dings and missing paint marks, but the kids really don't care. I don't see paint peeling off any more, I think it was from scratching them on the bottom of the pool or banging them into each other. My chldren refer to this set of characters as the "pup named scooby" people as they have another set of figures that I purchased from ebay. I recommend these figures! My children have had countless hours of fun and imaginative play with them. They really do all play together- isn't that worth every cent!
FYI-They also love the van too!

First off let me say that I almost didn't order these because of the reviews that they smelled but I'm so glad I did. The set that arrived does not smell at all, not even the smallest bit. We got them for my daughters 3rd birthday and she loves them. They are very cute and seem to be built well. The scooby is super cute, he is double jointed and has a button on the back of his head that make his eyes pop out. I would highly recommend these if you have a child that likes scooby doo.

Great Toy
My son loves this toy. He is 2 years old and his favorite part is the voice that counts out loud as he push apples into the tree. There is a lot to do with this toy and I know as my son gets older he will discover this. The first night he got it, he played with it for hours.

Lots to Do in One Toy, Perfect for Siblings
I like this toy because my two-year-old twins can play with it at the same time without arguing. We got it last week, and it's still the main draw in the playroom. It comes with a boy and a girl doll, and a 4-part town for them to explore: a school, the dentist and doctor, the pet store and a pizza shop, and a swing under an apple tree.

A voice counts out loud as you push apples into the tree, and my son loves this best. My daughter likes to put the dolls in the pizza shop, and put the pizzas in the oven. They love pushing anything that results in a song, voice or sound, and there's lots of that here. I'm not sure this toy would hold the attention of 5-year-olds, but I think it's perfect for 2-3 year olds.

Wonderful toy!
My sons, 3 and 7, both LOVE this toy. We've had it a week and its gone with us everywhere. It has survived being dropped, knocked over multiple times and dumped by the three year old into the bathtub (but shortly removed therafter)

I would recommend it to anyone with small boys, especially those who like Batman. My only suggestion is to set aside a plastic baggie for the smallest pieces, which can easily get lost if not put away properly.

My son got this, the batcopter, and batmobile for his 4th birthday and he loves them all. As always, i'm impressed by the durability of Imaginext toys. My son is more impressed by all the activities to choose from in the batcave! He loves the batmobile and batcopter, too, which are also part of the line. Great product!

We received the cube in good condition. My only complaint was that the picture shown for the cube was like we had from years ago, It shows a photo of the cube in the middle with the Rubik name above it and the cube name below it. however, when we received it, it was the cube with the rubiks cube photo in the middle and the name of the cube written over the cube. In other words we ordered it based upon what the picture showed it would look like, but when we received it, it was different.

Very very very very good puzzzle
even though im not a 'guienuss' (i probably spelled that wrong. ^.^ whoops) it was a very fun toy. i had even more fun by taking it apart and putting it back in the correct order. tehe.

Got this for my dad.
My dad learned to solve this some 20 years ago, and has taught tons of people, including me how to solve them. Unfortunately, he keeps giving them away to the people he teaches, or he forgets them places. Amazon is a great place to get them, as they can be sold for insane prices in local stores.

This is one of the best nerf guns ever!The bolt that cocks the darts and the six shot clips work great!The bipod and adjustable rest on the back is good to.the detachable single shot hand gun is also nice.The scope is good ,but it does not have the best accuraccy.The best way to make it work is to aim with it then jolt the gun up right when you shoot.I cant really say how far this gun shoots {the box says 35 feet} but it shoots far!Its a good idea to get some refills,the gun does not get jammed alot, but when it does it sometimes damages the darts.Overall a great nerf gun! I highly recommend it!

Just Ok.
When my son try to use as one Gun it is keep breaking in two when ever he is trying to load the front gun. The attachment mechanisam is not so good. So he always use them as two seperate guns and that defeted teeh purpose of puchasing this one.

Otherwise it is not bad. Smaller version which is $10 less expensive will do the same job.

Favorite toy till broke
My two year old learned so much using this tag system. IT would keep him busy for hours. THen out of no where the pen doesnt "read" any of the pages. I tried uininstalling and reinstalling and still nothing. It will play the stories but the interaction with the book is shot. We have only had this three months and for the price it really should have lasted longer. Anyone else have this problem?

I also wish they had more basic learning books, like learning the alphabet and numbers.

We Love the Leap Frog Tag!
This product is awesome! I love it and so does my 4-year-old son. I really can't say enough good things about it.

My son enjoys using his "Magic Pen" every night to "read" his two books - Ozzie and Mack and Cars Tractor Tipping." Many nights, after I put him to bed, I will hear the pen talking to him and the characters of the book come alive. He reads these so much that he will tell me as soon as he turns the page "Oh, it's Frank!" ... or make the sound effects that the characters make before even placing the pen on the pictures. He also enjoys turning the pen on and just listening to the story without the book.

I really like having the ability to see his progress by going online and checking out his learning path. I can see which questions he answers correctly and how many he gets right. I can even see how long he uses the Tag books.

The Bakugan-Mania is here. I had no idea what my daughter was talking about since she spoke a mile-a-minute about what the latest craze in children's toys. These items are in extremely high demand and are similar in genre to Pokemon cards, Yu-Gi-Yo, and Digimon. The characters appear to be a spin off from Japanese anime, in my perception.

What are Bakugan?

They are action figures that are morphed from small plastic marbles, based upon a television show on the Cartoon Network. Each figure comes with a metallic card that has a point value. A point value is also imprinted on the figure.

A magnetic lock in the toy is triggered to open when the figure is placed onto a metallic game card.

How do you play the game?

Each player starts out with 3 Bakugan and 3 cards. Only one care can be a special ability card. The youngest player starts. Depending upon how many players are participating (2-4), determines where the cards are placed in the arena. When a Bakugan is rolled and lands on a card, it opens.

If the Bakugan does not open, the player loses a turn.

If 2 figures land on the same card, a point total is taken to count up the power value of the Bakugan + the value of the card. The higher sum wins the card and the figure. At the end of the round, the highest total of points wins the game.

My daughter's after-school care has an Bakugan Class where children play in the afternoon. She is 7 years old but her friends who have it range from 6 to 10 years old.

This game represents a unique and revolutionary spin on the game of playing marbles. It is quite creative and superficially complex to play. However, many children are compelled to play it all over the country.

Reminds Me of The Capsule Shooter
The design of this product reminds me of the Capsule Shooter from Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monsters. The reason I am reviewing this product is for one reason. Awhile ago I met a kid named Brandon who's mom worked at Dunkin Donuts. We went to Wal-Mart and bought part 1 of Capsule Monsters and we thought that the Capsule Shooter should be made into a product. A Pleasant Surprise
My 4 year-old daughter could not think of anything she wanted more than this Liana doll and the Alexa doll when it came time to spend her birthday money. I wasn't thrilled because Barbie's in our house get kicked around and forgotten. I was surprised to find that these dolls are actually a lot of fun. She loves changing the dress around and listening to the dolls sing together. I like that you can stop the music by turning the knob that changes the dress. It makes a chime sound and the music stops. It's nice for when the two dolls are not singing the same song or if you don't synchronize them right. Some have complained that the dress doesn't come off, but I'm really happy about that. My daughter takes the dresses off her barbies and then asks me to put another one on because she can't do it herself. This doll does have mysteriously pink legs made of hard plastic, which makes it impossible to keep the shoes on, but I super glued them on and we won't have to worry about that ever again. We're happy with this doll, and I secretly enjoy trying to synchronize the dolls' singing perfectly.

Awesome Singing Barbie
My 4 year old daughter got this doll a month ago when we were on vacation, and she has not put it down. She had seen the movie and wanted both the Liana and Alexa dolls when she saw them at the store. She chose to get this one first. She has played with this Barbie so much! She loves to sing the songs. She keeps asking for the Alexa doll, so they can sing together. I highly recommend this Barbie!

Classic toy continues to entertain
I recently bought this toy for my two year old daughters. They love it!!! It took them a little while to figure out how it worked, but as soon as they did, they started playing with it all the time. They can entertain themselves for quite awhile. It was a very good value.

Mr. Potato Head just potty trained my 3 year old! After much discussion with her about using the potty, we finally found the trick for her! Each time she went she got to put a piece on her new Mr. Potato head and by the time she was half done with the pieces she was potty trained. I doubt Mr. Potato Head has had such a heroic review.

Great Intergenerational Bingo Game!!
My kids loved this bingo game, particularly my younger son. It is mostly a game of luck, but also reflexes, because the first person to call out that they have the picture on the chip on their card, gets to keep the chip.

We used to take this to a nursing home to play with the seniors. It is perfect for that situation (a 4 year old and a couple of seniors), because it is a simple, familiar game, and the graphics are simple and easy for everyone to identify.

And, for my son, half the fun of this game was setting it up (stacking the chips in the dispenser) and sliding the dispenser forward and back to reveal the chips.

Highly recommended for the preschool/early elementary set. My son is 6 now, and he still pulls this out sometimes, but he has a hard time convincing his 11 and 9 year old siblings to play.

An option for older children, which has the same type of dispenser (and the dispenser is what makes this game) is "Smart Mouth", which dispenses two letters and players have to shout out a word that begins with the first letter and ends with the second.

Great product!
When I called my sister to see how her son (5 years old) liked this gift, she laughed. Apparently he burst into tears upon first seeing it because it wasn't another super hero action figure. She sat down with him and his older brother (6 years old) and they played a round and they've been playing it daily ever since. She also mentioned that her 5-year-old tends to be a bit of a sore loser and this game has helped her to help him overcome that tendency.

Great for all ages
WOW! We love this game. I have been in desperatly searching games for my 5 and 8 year old could play together. You know, so the 8 year old does not always have the "upper hand"...and this is it. The game comes with several different ways of playing. We started with the first- the simpleist, and moved on to the harder options. Dad and I have even joined in the fun. We love this. They learn taking turns, small moter skills, planning, coordination...and many others. ENJOY! We do!

Good, old-fashioned fun
This is a game I often get kids for birthday gifts. The parents are just excited about it as the kids, as they often had it themselves. It's not educational, but so much fun. Especially popular with active boys who may not always like traditional sit-down games.

Cheap Plastic Can't Hang
Unfortunately I totally agree with all reviews regarding the cheap plastic and not being durable. It only took one match with my 5 year old to see that the heads wouldn't go up and over the white marbles. You'll see exactly what we are referring to once you purchase & play. Then you'll wish you simply kept the one you had from when you were a kid.
The cherry on top was the box it comes in. Once you assemble the game together - it no longer fits in the box for storage. Surprise !! No place to store your game with all the marbles !

One of the Happiest Toys There Is!
My sister-in-law bought this for our daughter when she was only a few months old... she instantly took to it... eyes sparkling and and limbs wiggling with glee every time we pushed one of its buttons.

As I write this, I am hearing my daughter, who is now 2 1/4 years old, singing with her puppy from her bedroom... it is a great comfort to her as she falls asleep.

It is still on its first set of batteries, two years later, and is still going strong!

Since this toy was such a hit with her, for the past two years at Christmas, I have made it a point to buy one of these and donate it to the Salvation Army's toy drive. It makes my happy to think of the joy some other child will have for years to come with their new puppy!

One of the best
My daughter got this when she was 6 months old and she played with it until about a year ago. She's now four. Its so cute, cheery and cuddly. Great classic toy with endless uses when put in the hands of little ones! A must have!

Never gets old!
My son has played with these rings for over a year and loves them. They keep him occupied more than the musical/electronic toys. He likes to make the rings spin and roll across the floor as well as stack them. You can't go wrong with this classic.

So far so wonderful!
I just got this for my one-year-old son last week. So far, he loves it. It entertains him longer and in more creative ways than those annoying, music-playing, light-blinking toys that we all "love". Subtle messages?
We bought this airplane for our little girl after she began to spot every airplane in the sky no matter how far away it was. She enjoys flying it around and will dance to the music it plays. But after looking at it for a while, I realized there are NO male characters as part of this toy. I have no problem with a female pilot, but NO male characters? seems a little odd. And we didn't buy the pink airplane. The little people are also quite butch in appearance. Just interesting to notice the subliminal messages in our kids toys. Kind of like the number 69 i saw on the picture of the firetruck on our baby einstein exersaucer. very unnecessary.

Another great toy for "Little People"
We have owned this plane for almost a year now and my daughter, who is 2 1/2, has played with it A LOT! She used to just push it along on the floor, but now she makes it 'fly', loads the people and luggage in and out and acts out little conversations between the passengers. Really cute and totally worth the $$,

Great gift
I'm a grandmother and purchased this toy last Christmas for baby just few months old. As he has grown over the year, my daughter has told me that this is my grandson's favorite toy. what a toy!
I bought this toy for my brother's one year old twins. They both loved it. It is big enough for both of them to play with at the same time. My brother has called me twice to thank me for such a great gift.

Childs interest barely lives up to price
While i was thrilled to watch my 6 month old baby learn to grip the balls within a day of using this toy, his overall enjoyment of this whole playcenter has yet to live up to the price. Although I did witness him try to pull himself up on it the other day, but he could have done the same thing with a coffee table. It is pretty cute watching him hit the dangling items when he knows it will make the music play. He hits it and then sits back and dances. But I think he's still too small to appreciate the monkey arms or the elephant ears. Most of his time is spent taking balls out and putting balls into the hippo.

Wonderful toy for developing coordination
This is a fantastic toy for developing a little one's coordination. It has lots of locations at various heights for my son to hold on. He pulled up to standing for the first time by holding onto the elephant's ears, then pulling up on the top vine. It was so cute to watch how proud he was of himself. He is also able to support himself in kneeling by holding onto the the ramp while reaching down to his sides to pick up the balls. This is one of the few toys I have seen that encourage kids to both move sideways and up and down to interact. The songs are fun and not too annoying. The biggest drawback is that I wish there was a way to activate the music while playing with the hippo or elephant. Otherwise I think it is a wonderful toy. It is probably best suited for a child from the time they can sit independently to the time they are walking well.

Innovative Jungle Encourages Active Play
This durable, plastic play station is set up as an arc, with a slide for balls wrapping around the center support and a bright orange monkey sitting above the slide. The monkey's hands are cupped so that kids can practice balancing balls in them, and his arms move. somewhat disappointed
I bought this Lego set for my grandson for Christmas. He has other Lego sets so I know he will like it, but the little storage box is only 1/2 - 2/3 full. They could have easily put more blocks in. It almost looks as though its incomplete. Now I have to go out and buy more so that I can fill the box up....hmm maybe they know what they were doing after all.

Bought this for my 3 year old niece. She uses this set everyday. The pieces are large and easy for a young child to handle. The other day she called to tell me that she was making a Lego castle for me :)

Cute but noisy
Haven't used it yet but it looks cute. I like the music but the it is a bit noisy.

I don't know why... but my daughter loves this!!!

Great for Newborns!
The Lamaze peacock was one of the first toys we were given for our son. Personally, I think he's fun to look at. Jacques the peacock made me want to run out and see what other toys Lamaze has... unfortunately, I think I've already got the best one. From the first week (and I mean, less than one week of age here), my son was enthralled by the back of Jacques. This is really a great toy for newborns to look at - the red, white, and black high contrast back is very interesting and stimulating to young babies (they can't see in color yet).

I think this toy was a life-saver when my son was less than a month old, because he would get distracted by it hanging in his crib and he would actually agree to lay in there! Recently, he hasn't been as interested in this toy, perhaps because some of his others are easier for him to hold. We'll have to wait and see whether he decides to be interested again at some point. He's 3 months now, and just learning to hold things (and shove them in his mouth) - and this is a bit large and difficult to pick up right now. The toy does have a rattle, crinkle paper, and a squeaky thing, as well as a mirror (that you really can't see yourself in) that might be interesting to older babies.

Since the toy was so interesting early on, I still think he's worth the price. But, I'd say get this one EARLY - before the baby is born - and introduce the toy right away (but remember to show the baby the back, not the front, because it will be more interesting and easier to see early on).

It's a toy, not a camera
The important thing to realize about this product is that it's much more of a toy than it is a camera. It's built with plenty of rubber around the body to cushion the blow of repeated falls and also makes it easier to grip. The functions available are only the most basic possible. The lens has no zoom capability, there are virtually no settings to change, it's a true point and shoot. For children who want to carry a camera around and feel like they're taking pictures it's great.

Unfortunately, if your child is old enough to make even a passing effort at improving his photos, then this camera will not serve. The LCD is low resolution and fades badly in direct sunlight. The viewfinder is both badly distorted and shows only a small portion of the area that will be photographed. And the photos themselves are so grainy, poorly focused, and poorly exposed that it won't matter what your child does. Every picture will look awful because the camera simply isn't capable of doing better.

In summary, this is a perfectly good gift for children that would enjoy playing with a camera. The price is reasonable and it's built to take a decent amount of punishment. As long as you are okay with photos that aren't worth looking at, let alone printing, you'll be happy with the purchase.

Fisher-Price Fun!
Would you give a child a camera to play with on their own? Now you can. Fisher-Price has been making children's toys since 1930 and this is truly a wonderful toy for a youngster. This is very durable and your child can drop this camera over and over again without fear of breaking it (within reason, of course. I can't say you can drop it off the roof!). It will survive laying in the wet grass or even under 3 feet of water (for no more than 30 minutes they say). It's the simplicity that your kid will love. The viewfinder is actually `two-eye viewing' like those old 3-D viewers from the sixties. Your child can just push their face right into the camera and easily learn what makes a good picture. The controls are easy and you'll probably find your child shooting silly picture after silly picture until they learn which shots are their favorites. The 1.5" color LCD screen shows your child exactly what the picture looks like - instant gratification! Being smaller, you might have to teach your child to aim higher to get a complete photo. It has a 64 MB built in memory for up to about 500 photos. If you want 4" X 6" quality photos, you can set the resolution for your child giving about 200 high quality photos. After your child has dropped, kicked, splashed and finished up taking photos, you can take over. You can easily download them to your computer, where you can crop them for your kid. After that, you'll be the one ordering the prints. This is a keeper!

My two year old loves it
This turned out to be one of the best toy purchases I've made. My two year old son doesn't have a lot of interest in "toys"; instead he prefers the real (and often breakable) thing. Here we have the best of both worlds: a working digital camera that's stood up to the best my son can do. It's the most fun when there are two kids: they can run around taking pictures of each other going "Say cheese!" It's fun to look at the pictures and send them to the grandparents.

It almost goes without saying the picture quality is poor, however if you read the manual you can increase the quality pretty easily. Copying pictures off the camera is easy: just plug a USB cable into the camera and your computer (no extra software needed). Battery life has also proven to be good. I've had it about four months and only changed batteries once.

The only minor complaint I have: the button to take pictures is on the front which is a little awkward for small hands.

It's awesome!
This game is great! It's a game that can be played with 4 people and different colors. Even though it might be easy to lose some pieces it is still fun.You will find it hard to put the right pieces at the correct time.

From classroom to living room
I originally bought this game for my classroom. The students (16-21) loved it. It was very interesting to see students who were not generally successful with more traditional classroom games thrive with this game.

I am now considering purchasing a second copy of this (and Blokus Trigon) so that I can have a copy at home and at school. It's an excellent addition to your collection.

My only concern is that with such small pieces, they could get lost very easily in my classroom. I was pleased to see what I thought was a very reasonable missing piece policy on the internet. I have not had a single piece go missing, but in the future, I will use plastic bags for my classroom copy of the game to prevent loss.

Fun and addicting
My son received this game as a gift when he was 6 years old, and it still is his favorite game 2 years later. He will actually play against himself to figure out new strategies. My son has played so much at this point that it is impossible to beat him. The game has very clear instructions and it doesn't take long at all to learn how to play. you can play with 2 - 4 players, with more players making it more interesting. The object of the game is to use up as many of your pieces as possible while at the same time blocking your opponents. The pieces are all different shapes which I learned quickly can become challenging. The great thing about this game is that because of the shapes of the pieces it really is different every time you play.
